CBSA Notes
Due to a surge in the volume of requests, CBSA is not in a position to meet the legislated timelines for all requests. As a result, we recommend that you order GCMS Notes from both IRCC and CBSA.
What are CBSA Notes?
The notes contain all details of your immigration application, including the immigration officer's notes and any information which may have be redacted by IRCC in the GCMS Notes under statutory exemptions.
Why order them?
If your application is ongoing, you can check its processing status. CBSA Notes can help you see if anything is wrong with the application, and take proactive steps to improve it.
If your application is already closed but was refused, you can get the details of the reasoning behind the refusal.
How long to receive them?
Approximately 30 to 40 days.
What do I need?
Your UCI and file/application number, and a signed consent form.
What does this service include?
The service only includes requesting your electronic CBSA Notes from CBSA and delivering to you via e-mail, as received by CBSA.
